Started off the weekend right with going out for gumbo and watching a good ol' Southern Gothic mystery flick. Have you ever seen Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? It's fantastic. I'm also reading the nonfiction novel at the moment and it is now one of my favorites. I recommend it! Southern Gothic is one of my favorite story themes.

Although I can't exactly say that I'm a born and raised southerner, I love the south. I love the culture. I'd like to travel farther on down to places like Savannah and Charleston. I feel like I'm meant to travel and find my roots somewhere else. I already feel rooted in a place I haven't lived in very long. It's a good feeling.

Now I'm about to head off and go out of town to visit some folks. Packing for cold weather is pretty difficult! All of the boots and the coats... I try so hard to be a light packer, but I usually end up trying to squeeze in ten outfits and five pairs of shoes for a two day trip. Hey, a girl's gotta have options!
