After the storm;
Last night, the midwest and south had some pretty intense storms! We still have some crazy winds blowing through here today. I've always loved storms. When I was really young, I remember my mom taking me outside during one to sit under our patio and watch the beautiful turmoil. I remember that moment I became fascinated with the lightning, the thunder, the rain. Nature is just really cool.
BUT, if the word tornado is involved, I'm not so excited. And last night that word flashed all over my tv screen. I think of those natural diasters as living monsters. They're so strange. I was woken up by my iPhone making scary weather alert noises (I didn't even know they did that!?) at three in the morning and it was just plain freaky. Living in a second story apartment surrounded by trees isn't the best place to be when that crazy stuff is going down...
Luckily, no twister's touched down here. I heard that one touched down close to my hometown, and one even in Georgia. I hope everyone is safe & well! Weather, nature... crazy stuff.
